Opening day success
The Varsity team opens the season with a win over the Purcell Dragons. With a terrific first outing, junior Kasen Anglin led the Bears on the mound with 11 strikeouts. The bats were hot giving the Bears the win 9-1.
Busy week coming up -
Monday - Home Opener against Ardmore
Tuesday - traveling to Ardmore
Friday - home again versus Choctaw
The Bears leave Saturday to start Spring Break with a doubleheader in McAlister before leaving for Pensacola, FL.
Varsity baseball kicks off the season…
The Varsity team kicked off the season with scrimmages at the Edmond Festival facing Deer Creek, Moore, and Stillwater.
The season starts on March 4th at Purcell with the home owner on March 7th versus Ardmore.
Noble Bears welcome Coach Hughes
The Noble Bears Baseball teams, varsity and junior varsity, are coached by head coach Erik Hughes. Coach Hughes a native Oklahoman, attended McAlester High School. Furthering his academics, he attended Seminole State College, Seminole Oklahoma as well as earning his Bachelors degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Durant Oklahoma.
Coach Hughes brings an extensive knowledge to Noble with his previous coaching experiences at Moore, Marietta, Chickasha and Duncan. In addition to coaching baseball he is also an assistant football coach.
